Ordering From Down Shift Cycles DSC accepts all credit/debit cards with the Visa, Mastercard, Amex or Discover logos via PayPal and Google Checkout. DSC will also accept US Postal Money Orders if paying by check. There are a few easy steps to ordering from DSC:
Ordering Within the Continental U.S. FREE Shipping!!!! All shipments within the 48 continental United States qualify for free shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Your items generally ship within 1-4 business days, which for Down Shift Cycles means Tuesdays through Fridays since we're generally closed on Mondays which is a standard business day (we are available via cell phone on Mondays). In some cases, such as unexpected delays, build kits, frames and complete bikes may cause the shipments to leave later than the previously designated time frame; hence the phrase "usually ships within 1-4 business days" located at the bottom of most item descriptions. There is no guarantee for shipment. These orders are sent via FedEx ground and require at minimum an adult signature. For all purchases totalling $1,000 or more, FedEx may require a direct signature. . International Orders All current model frames & forks qualify for either FREE or significantly subsidized international shipping via USPS Global Express Mail. When additional shipping fees are required, it will be found in a pop-up reading either "Canadian Buyers" or International Buyers." Simply click on the appropriate selection for your accurate shipping cost quote. All international shipping fees will be invoiced separately using Google Checkout. To receive a tracking number, simply email DSC 7 days after purchase to inquire about your shipment. Delivery may take up to a few weeks depending on your customs agency and/or government based mail delivery system. Down Shift Cycles is not responsible for lowering the declared value or paying any duty or taxes that may incur due to the shipment of goods purchased from us; that is your responsibility as the buyer.
How Should I Order? DSC prefers to have our customers order directly from the website, however depending on your comfort level, we can most certainly take your order over the phone. So far as questions are concerned, DSC genuinely enjoys speaking with our customers so that we can get know each other on an individual basis (let's be friends - cheezy, I know, but it's true). We're an extremely small operation, which affords us tha ability to really get to know our client base, so you'll never have to worry about talking to a manager or getting someone on the phone who knows about your order status.
What If Nobody Answers the DSC Phone? Again, we're a really small, custom operation. We are closed Sundays (for religious observance) and Mondays (for family). Don't hesitate to call our cell phones outside of regular store hours to get your questions answered. If one of us doesn't answer the cell call, just leave us a detailed message and we'll get to at our earliest convenience. Chances are if we don't answer that we're out on a ride, testing some new equipment or out and about in the community trying to build community relationships. We realize that this is not the standard protocal for either a bike shop or online store, but we are in fact very available for your questions, comments and concerns. We care very much about our customers, for you are our lifeline; if we fail you, we really only fail ourselves. |
